Field Archery

I shoot Field Archery, it's really easy to learn and it wont be long before you get confident at it. There are many different forms of archery, not just the target archery that you see at the Olympics.

Field archery is a much more traditional form of archery and due to its very nature, some clubs specialise in this form alone. These clubs tend to be affiliated to the NFAS or National Field Archery Society. Field Shooting involves shooting at different targets at unknown distances. These targets are normally placed within a woodland and can involve shooting across ponds/streams to down steep hills. There are a number of different rounds that can be shot, some use standard targets and target faces, others use pictures of animals on standard targets (this is what we do) and some even use 3D targets of anything from life size boar, deer etc but also some clubs have 3D dinosaurs!     Contact Roger Sleight, on 01624 835674
